I visited on 9th November, with several members of my immediate family, to watch Mad Dog Mcrea perform. Venue was warm and welcoming, with a "castle keep" feel to the bar, and a good warming real fire.
Band were great, and the atmosphere was friendly and respectful. Everyone was there to enjoy themselves, and let others do the same. Very good, highly recommended.
Guinness at £4.90 a pint, and served in good quality thick plastic glasses, hardly distinguishable from standard glass.
Good place for a gig.
Good beer. Reasonably priced.
Sound was good. Staff were decent. Would go again to see love music for sure.
One of them hidden Birmingham gems.
Saw the Fleetwood Mac songbook at the Castle and Falcon. Street parking wasn't a major problem. Didn't see a wheelchair accessible entrance or toilet (ring them about this if you're planning a trip). Good sized venue for an amazing tribute band. Reasonably priced drinks. I really enjoyed the back to basics Black Country vibe of the place. Would recommend.
Saw a flock of seagulls there tonight. They were superb. The venue was excellent great sound and bar and toilets. Very pleased. Can't wait for Wolfgang flur in October and some punk events in December. Looking forward to using again. The only downside is parking is not good
What a place, what music, what people, what more do you need?
Really good venue. It's a bit out of the way, but I'd urge people to give it a try and see.
It's a really good pub with a massive club area at the back. Good for a gig and night out.
The sound quality is good and the bar is quick and easy.
Excellent venue, good selection of beverages, has an undercover seating area which is great to chill out before the bands come on and the gig room is brill with a bar at the back of the room too.👍👍👍 …
Lovely little pub with a gorgeous intimate live music venue in the back. Clean loo’s, friendly staff.
Saw the band Nation of Language and the atmosphere was electric.
Just grab an Uber if commuting from central Birmingham, it’s not a great walk through darkest Digbeth after dark!
